I graduated from the University of New Brunswick, with Bachelor of Business Administration, 1984. Concentrated on marketing and management. | |

I earned my BBA after switching out of the Bachelor of Science-Forestry program. Credits earned in the BSc program that counted towards my business degree included courses in ecology, geology, biology, meteorology, outdoor recreation, cartography, physics, chemistry and communications. |
Informal Education

I worked as a volunteer at CHSR-FM, the student radio station, taking turns as station manager, program director (twice), sports director (twice) as well as participating in production and on-air duties. | |

I worked at the student newspaper, The Brunswickan, as a sports writer and columnist, spending one season as the basketball beat writer and two others as a football "picks" columnist. I also wrote entertainment and news features. | |
|
While at university, I worked for two years as a freelance radio reporter for CBC Fredericton. |
